The New Mexico Society of Association Executives is delighted to provide association professionals and registered lobbyists with Sexual Harassment Prevention Training conducted by Safety Counselling, Inc. This training is relevant whether you are an association or government affairs professional. 

In a written message to NMSAE, Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver wrote, "I and my staff are pleased to hear that you are offering the training. As you know, our office’s decision to include the checkbox on lobbyist registration forms - regarding whether or not a lobbyist has been provided a training within a certain time period - is meant to encourage the type of training you describe. When any participant in the described training is registering as a lobbyist, they may check the box indicating they have been trained."

Beginning in 2018, Secretary Toulouse Oliver required all registered lobbyists to indicate whether they have existing sexual harassment policies in place and whether they have received any sexual harassment training since the last legislative session. The responses provided by the lobbyists are available to the public in a searchable format on the Secretary of State’s website. 

As a CAE Approved Provider educational program related to the CAE exam content outline, this training may be applied for 2 credits toward your CAE application or renewal professional development requirements.
